Justin Lopez, a senior at Boulder Preparatory High School, spent his spring break working as a volunteer at the Cango Wildlife Ranch in Oudtshoorn South Africa. Much of his time was spent caring for Cheetahs and other endangered species. “This was much better than your average spring break,” Justin said of the two weeks of 10-hour days chopping food, cleaning pens, and planting habitat for the many species kept at the ranch. The trip was arranged through a British organization called i-to-i that specializes in placing volunteers in various projects internationally.
